Heavy items: where to put them
- Low and central: fuel, water and the spare wheel are the heaviest items. Keep them between the crossbars and towards the centre of the platform.
- Spread the load: spread weight front to back rather than stacking it at one end.
- Check the straps: recheck tie-downs after the first few kilometres and after rough sections.
- Off-road: every Wedgetail is rated 100% off-road to its full rating, so the figure you check at home is the one that applies on the track.
