Why roof height changes the rack

Wedgetail lists every van rack by model, generation, wheelbase and roof height. The same van in low, mid and high roof takes different fitments, so a low roof Sprinter or HiAce rack is not the one for the high roof. Give the stockist your van's year, wheelbase (SWB, MWB, LWB, SLWB or EXLWB) and roof height, or search them in Find My Vehicle.

Loading a high roof

Rear access: the Sprinter LWB and MWB high roof rear ladder is listed for the 2019 on Sprinter; see the Sprinter rear ladder guide.
Ladders and long loads: roller kits on the rear bar let you slide a load up from behind: the Trade Max single roller kit or the Commercial Max double roller bracket. For ladder hardware by range, see the van ladder rack guide.
Clearance: installed platform height is not published yet. Measure from the ground to the top of the fitted rack before you drive into a car park or garage.
Roof limit: the van maker's roof limit applies as well as the rack rating. Use the lower figure.

Yes on Wedgetail Adventure, Wedgetail Trade and Commercial Max racks. Trade Max crossbar kits do not include one.

What load rating and warranty?

Each fitment has one dynamic rating, shown on the pick cards and in the table, and it holds 100% off-road; static is 3.5 x dynamic. Warranty is 10 years on Wedgetail Adventure, 5 years on Wedgetail Trade, 5 years on most Trade Max kits and 1 year on Commercial Max.
