How to set up a plumber's van
- Carrier size: pick by the largest pipe you carry every day. The carriers come in 100 mm and 150 mm; Wedgetail Trade has the 150 mm size, Commercial Max and Oval Steel both.
- A ladder as well: a platform carries the ladder beside the pipe carrier. Use the ladder lock kit on Wedgetail Trade or the Safeclamp ladder clamp pair on Commercial Max. See the van ladder rack guide.
- Loading from the rear: Commercial Max takes single and double roller brackets.
- Heavy pipe: check the dynamic rating on the pick card for your van, and the vehicle maker's roof limit; use the lower figure. Every Wedgetail rating holds 100% off-road.
- Fitting: racks are fitted on site at the Bayswater factory, or by any stockist.

Which pipe carrier fits my rack?
On Wedgetail Trade, the 150 mm top mount carrier. On Commercial Max and Oval Steel, the 100 mm or 150 mm carrier with caps and three brackets.
Do the carriers come with the pipe?
Both ways. Each carrier is sold with pipe, or as brackets and end caps with no pipe so you supply the PVC, for example the 150 mm no pipe kit for Commercial Max.
