Which accessories fit Wedgetail Adventure?

Short answer

Wedgetail Adventure platforms take the Wedgetail Adventure accessory line: holders and carriers for shovels, jerry cans, gas bottles, conduit and recovery tracks, mounts for awnings, light bars, solar panels and Starlink, tie-down straps and points, and replacement rubber kits. Every one is listed below by job, with its SKU and live RRP. Third-party accessories fit as well; some need a 10 mm spacer to clear the strength lip around the platform. Adventure platforms are rated 100 or 150 kg dynamic, 100% off-road, and the accessories plus your load must sit within that rating.

Carry gear

Holders and carriers hold your gear in place on the platform. The conduit carriers come as brackets and caps without the pipe, in 100 mm and a 150 mm side mount version, and the recovery track brackets sit on top of or on the side of the rack and, as their names say, suit MAXTRAX and new TREDS only, with no pins included. Platform sides come in a size for each platform length.

How-tos on the Wedgetail site: the jerry can holder and the Hi-Lift jack holder. The platform is the base for a rooftop tent; how to mount a rooftop tent covers the fitting.

Mount equipment

Awnings, lights, aerials, Starlink and solar panels each have their own brackets in the Adventure line. Awning brackets come fixed or adjustable, in sets of two or three, plus a Fiamma set and a pair for 270 awnings. Light bar parts named for the Sprinter or the Crafter are made for that van; the other mounts are not named for a vehicle.

See the Hexmesh panel how-to and how to mount solar panels on the Wedgetail site.

Secure the load

Straps hold the load down; eyelets and T plates give the straps and hooks something to attach to on the platform.

Replacement parts and extras

Crossbar rubber kits are made for one platform size each: the platform code in the product name (for example WTP-1412U) must match your platform. The spare fasteners kit and vent hole kit sit here too.

Made for one vehicle

Some Adventure accessories fit the vehicle rather than any platform: bonnet aerial mounts, rear window Molle panels and rear ladders are each named for one model, so check the make, model and side in the name before you buy.

Third-party accessories

Accessories from other brands fit a Wedgetail Adventure platform. The lip around the platform is there for strength; if a bracket does not clear it, a 10 mm spacer under the mounting point lifts it clear. There is no Wedgetail spacer kit: use a spacer that suits the accessory's own fasteners. Do third-party accessories fit a Wedgetail rack? explains it.

Wedgetail Core and other ranges

Most Wedgetail Adventure accessories do not fit a Wedgetail Core platform, but some do, so check the accessory's product page or ask the factory on (03) 9722 5000 or a stockist before you buy. Wedgetail Adventure vs Core compares the two platforms, and the trade ranges have their own lines, compared in Wedgetail Trade vs Commercial Max vs Trade Max.
